Alright, this is the OOC thread for my RP Blood, Ice and Fire. The RP is currently open, but nonetheless I'd appreciate if you could ask where you'll fit in before posting up.

In regard to characters, pretty much anyone/thing is welcome as long as you can give a plausible reason for his/her/its presence in Provakia at this time (info thread on Provakia can be found here). Just a word of warning, however; this is more of political and mystery based RP than anything else. While 'fighty' characters are perfectly welcome, they may be just a bit wasted here.

Nonetheless, post up here, and let's have some fun, shall we?

I have just gotten out of college and I am DYING to write and role play!

I saw what you posted in the Reference Archive and I have to commend you for such a greatly written kingdom. And when I found out you posted up the actual RP thread, I pounced.

That being said, when I read that it will be a political/mystery based, RP, it started to make me think. What character of mine would be best suited for such a thing?

After reviewing my character profiles, I narrowed them down to one.

Aerynn, my half-elf shadowdancer and thief, could possibly have heard about the festival and decide to participate in it for food, dance, drink, and a couple of stolen valuables if there is any. Mostly for the dance, because let's face it, she loves dancing and is trained to do so.

So what do you think?

CHAOS: WHERE GREAT DREAMS BEGIN...
Before a great vision can become reality, there may be difficulty. Before a person begins a great endeavor, they may encounter chaos. As a new plant breaks the ground with great difficulty, foreshadowing the huge tree...so must we sometimes push against difficulty in bringing forth our dreams. Out of chaos, brilliant stars are born.

Sounds fine to me. Welcome aboard!

Also, if you're interested, I'll be using my character Benja Thenson, who's there to restore the organ in the Kaiser's palace in time for the festival.

No problems. Any vague reason why he'd be there, or is more a kind of 'there's booze, women and food there,' reason? tongue.gif

Well, I thought I'd write his reasons in my post, but yeah...anywhere there's an open bar and fine young belly-warmers to be had, Taiaka usually shows up. *chuckles* But hell, I'm willing to make up a different, more in depth, reason if his penchant for debauchery doesn't suit you.

Nah, debauchery's just fine.

Mmm...sweet, delicious debauchery...

Could I bring Jeannette?

Amnd would someone want to be the master? or should I bring a master to go with her?

If I bring a master it will be Ironjasi

Or I would be willing to bring Maev or Arianna.

Jeanette should be fine as a character. Are there any takers for a master character?

Good to have you onboard, Eddy!

Well, I can't give you a definite count me in! just yet, I can certainly say that this has caught my interest....

So, I shall first ask if there is anyone, from any particular profession or race or nationality, that you might be hoping for? Because I'm not sure which of my characters would fit or which one I want to bring here, so if you want something played... I'm always up for people telling me what to bring to their rps. tongue.gif

Also... since there's already one answer to the above question... Is there anything I should know if I offer a character to be Jeannette's master?

I do have a few that I'm considering bringing in as ambassadors of a strange sort...

There's Jipp, who is an otter anthro.... He is the leader of a holt, so that would be a good representative, if I choose him...

I have Shava, who is in my profile list, though he's not completed... He's a metalsmith, demon and wanderer, so he might just have heard of this festival and decided to see it for himself, or, from his origins, he just might be from a neighbouring nation...

I have Thomas, who is an old army man turned priest... He could fit as a native of Provakia...

There's Aylen... Who is also in my character list... He could be among the entertainers, and would love poking his nose around if ever things seemed to heat up, as it were.

I have a dragon, Brydi, who'd likely be interested in a festival, but he'd probably be more hindrance than help, no matter how helpful he wants to be...

I have a shapeshifter who could be there for any reason whatsoever, in any form and for any purpose...

I have a little kinta who might suit the fauna here.... His name's Grey Feather and he's a little winged, four-legged beasty who communicates with pictures and by changing the colour of his eyes and who absolutely loves getting into mischief. He might be someone's pet companion, or he could just be searching for scraps and find some curious figure to follow around.

Anyway.. the list goes on and I don't really care who I rp... So, if you have a preference, even if it isn't listed up there ^ do NOT hesitate to let me know! biggrin.gif I like being accommodating. Although, you may notice that those are all males... I do prefer males over females...

Thanks Colonel!

@Nemai: I like Thomas, the Shape Shifter, and Jipp

Here is her profile:Jeannette

Not much else you need to know. Masters can cease being masters whenever they wish, so you won't have to worry about your charrie being chained up forever.

I'm interested! it's set in a nice blend of cultures I all like ^ ^ so that should be fun.

I have to say though I've had a rotten time with muse lately, so I'm probably going to need patient help getting involved until I find my groove again (see S.O.S. in Tabard Inn section). Just a lot of IRL and RP frustrations to have really destroyed my inspiration ^^; If I find that I'm dragging the thread down, I'll figure out a way to leave it.

I am missing Marszenka, my cursed whore, so I'd like to play her if I could. hmm.gif

Renna, Marszenka should be fine for the RP. Let's give it a try and see how it works out; I'm sure you'll do fine once we get going.

Nemai, you've given me a tough choice here. Hmm...

*Looks at list of characters and strokes chin thoughtfully*

Looking at that list, I'd have to say that the following characters are probably best:

Thomas looks good, though if you want him to be a native maybe change his name to sound more Slavic/Eastern European. Maybe something like Thoman, or something like that. Aylen would fit nicely with the whole thing, along with the shapeshifter. Shava would do nicely too.

I think, as a final decision as to a character that would fit best in this RP would probably be Thomas. However, if there's a problem with this or a character you suddenly really want to play with, I don't mind.

Also, that was a fine part there, Angel. Keep it up!
