I made a teensie update to the Rules:

Any content posted in an official capacity is considered a "gift" to the community, and is property of Abydos once submitted or posted on the site. This includes official moderator and admin posts, posts with the Dungeon Master account, canon submissions, skins, graphics, etc.

I think this is pretty minor, but as always I'll listen if anyone has any feedback. Thanks

	http://abydosquest.com A prezzie for my active role players! You might keep a link to the old invisionfree server in case of technical difficulty. Enjoy! (PS: Still working a bug out... I want teh www in the front but it no is cooperating. Waiting on help from Lothy-bird! Either way, page works, so no worries.) Edit: I thought it was working when I was home this morning, but it's not! The domain does forward to the board but I can't get the board to work with the new domain as primary. I imagine I can fix this tonight with a little fussing, I'll try to talk to Lothy too. Anyway, yay, new domain!

Re-Applications

	I've changed the wait time for people to re-apply from 30 days to 7. When Abydos was first active it was around the time that Arda closed, and we were swamped with a ton of applications. Now that's no longer the case, and we've had several people apply whom I would like to encourage to reapply, if they are interested! So I'm decreasing the wait time to 7 days.

How Did You Find Abydos?

	Hi everyone! It would be useful if our old and new members responded to this poll about how you found Abydos. I initially did quite a bit more advertising than I'm doing right now; at the moment I'm only recruiting on RPG-D (other sites didn't turn out to be productive, especially given that Abydos is quite atypical for a role playing forum). I've listed all the ways I can think of that people likely found Abydos. RPG-D is probably the biggest source for new members, but I know we've had a few friends of friends join and I've personally prodded people into joining. There is also a link to Abydos on Arda, and a ton of people came from that site when it closed. I'm not sure if any of my other old advertisements are still around... if they are, and they're working, please let me know! And, as always, suggestions are welcome

The Caelum Alliance

	Interested in writing some Science Fiction? Check out The Caelum Alliance, our sister site! Caelum is set up very similarly to Abydos, but with a futuristic space/science fiction setting. You'll probably see a few familiar faces! Please note that Abydos Role Players do not need to apply in order to RP on Caelum. Please register an account and send me a PM on Caelum; I'll confirm your e-mail address and/or IP address and promote you to Role Player status. 8.9.2009 - Update: I'm opening Caelum to new registrations. Due to RL stress/issues I haven't been able to post on the site and probably won't for a few weeks, but that's no reason you guys can't. The site is currently intended to be quite small, I'm not going to have any staff for the time being. I will recruit for the site on RPG-D once we get a few role plays going. Enjoy! 12.8.2009 - Update: I'm recruiting for new members for Caelum on RPG-D. I'm hoping that between a few Abydos members and a few new members brought in from outside that we might get a few RPs going. I'll be hovering and possibly joining a story or two.
